The short answer
Monthly fee excluding VAT = total budgeted delivery cost ÷ (1 − target margin%). Add a cost reserve before calculating the fee. A 30% margin requires a 42.86% markup on cost, not a 30% markup.

Enter direct costs without counting overhead twice
Preparation and review hours are monthly hours for one client. The hourly cost is your direct staff cost, including employment costs you choose to include. Enter allocated monthly overhead and client-specific software separately. If your hourly rate already includes those amounts, remove them from the separate inputs. The reserve is a percentage added to base cost; it is not the target margin.
Worked example
Three preparation hours at €25 and one review hour at €60, plus €30 overhead and €8 software, cost €173. A 10% reserve brings budgeted cost to €190.30. At a 30% target margin, the monthly fee is rounded up to €271.86 excluding VAT. These are fictional assumptions, not a market price recommendation.
The result needs a scope agreement
Define transaction volumes, employees, included reports, response assumptions and additional-work rules before using a price. The result is a planning contribution after the entered costs, not audited net profit or a guarantee. The target margin must be below 100%; a zero margin covers the budgeted cost. The tool does not calculate VAT, tax or payroll. Inputs remain in the browser.
